In 2008, Edi and Jordan met at their college dorms in Brooklyn, NY and became instant friends. Because of Jordan’s work in the restaurant industry, she often had extra cash on her dorm cafeteria food card and decided to put that cash to use for the less fortunate. One day as she was packing up 15 lunches to bring on the subway for the homeless, Edi happened to be behind her at the checkout line. They chatted about the plan and Edi thought it was a great idea.

Over a decade later, Edi and Jordan were reminiscing on that day and decided to bring the idea back to life. Thus, Gifts Given was born. Together, Edi and Jordan have completed numerous gift bag runs and look forward to many more.
